MY OWN CHANGE

Post by Abigail09 »

Change as we have been made to believe is normal
It is SOMETIMES inevitable...
Little did I know that I would react to change like this...
I have been in a situation for so long,
Now change feels like a disease,
It feels,looks ,sounds strange,
That is Adaptability,
I forgot it was wrong
I forgot it was not right for me
I came up with a reason good enough for me,
Why it is meant to be like this,
But then change happens.
Its difficult to go out of the box I have been for so long.
It feels like I am about to loose something.
NO am not
I am gaining something better
I have to convince myself that as they say ''CHANGE HAPPENS''
It still feels strange ...it still does....but i am going to change
Then i will question myself on why i stayed like that for so long
Why I adapted to the way things were and not embrace the change quickly.
I am still going to continue to change....

Sounds like one of the most dinstinct patternes of the human experience is the consistent, inexcusable, gantlet of change. Not always welcome but always different. Thank you for the poetic context in which you expressed your experience.

Your poem literally put into words the struggle that I and many others face when we are dealt with change. Really, truly a beautiful piece!

Change happens all the time, it is our enemy and allay at the same time. It challenges and defeats us. Thanks

Change is the only constant thing in our lives. It's better to learn to accept it early in life or it will bother us as long as we live.

A good read I must because you want to or do not want to change. You feel anxious and afraid, but the situation still calls for a change depending on whether you improve or diminish. The winds of change still blow your away. Whether negativity or positivity, a change still needs to occur. I wish you add more to your piece of poetry, as I still wonder your final take on change.
