If you had to listen to only one genre of music for the rest of your life, what would it be?

This is the place for readers of poetry. Discuss poetry and literary art. You can also discuss music here, including lyrics. Also, you can discuss poets themselves, in addition to poetry.

I'm glad I don't have to make that choice, but if I did, I'd choose rock—the whole span of rock from light rock to classical to hard rock to acid, metal, and hardcore rock, grunge rock, alternative, new wave, rap-rock, progressive rock, psychedelic, electronic, pop rock and many many more. You see, by choosing rock it would include such a wide span of music I'd still have the incredible variety I love.

Definitely Rock, but is very hard to define exactly one thing. No matter what to be music, a book, or whatever. Of course, there are things in life that can be unique, and that is the family.

I would probably go with pop. It is a great genre and the variability makes it a perfect choice.

If I could only listen to one kind of music for the rest of my life, it would be happy and uplifting music. I would not attempt to listen to sorrowful tunes if my life was already coming to an end. Instead, I'd choose uplifting ones and make the most of the time I have left.

Lol. That’s a wild question. Classical songs are great. Afrobeats are fabulous. I do feel it would be punishment to make such rule.

I would simply choose Loofi music. It has no lyrics and interpretation, just purely chills and vibe. In this day, we don't have to tax and drain our minds; all we need is rest.

If I had to listen to one genre of music for the rest of my life, I'll definitely go for jazz. Music of the soul
