YES! It's amazing how something that people would assume would be angry or whatever really can be relaxing (and positive!). I'm extremely picky with screamo, but what I like is some of my favorite music.WinterCandyMints wrote:Screamo. I love it. It honestly relaxes me. I don't know what it is, but it makes me calm.
For when I want to relax, when driving, etc I really like metal, be it heavy, symphonic, power, screamo, etc. Bands like All That Remains, Lamb of God, Symphony X, Blind Guardian, Rise Against, etc.
If I'm doing something that requires more concentration (writing, coding, etc) I like video game covers, especially on guitar or symphony, as well as things like Two Steps from Hell (they do a lot of the symphonic stuff for movie trailers, etc; don't let the name fool you, they have a lot of light stuff, and all that I've heard is without lyrics). When I really need to focus, I can't listen to lyrics, or I get sucked into em too much and get completely distracted from what I'm doing.
