[Oh, it's just another thing to me.
[Intro:]
Another day on the grind for a couple cents.
I kiss goodbye to my relevance.
The world throws stone while I ride the fence,
I'm only old enough to bring up something that finally makes sense.
It's like I'm living in a war zone.
And they can write it on my tombstone.
Here lies a man that don't cry,
With ash on the feet from the pit of hell's fire.
I've been up
And I've been down.
But my place ain't on the ground.
I'd rather meet death on my feet,
Than life on my knees.
Trouble ain't nothin'
But another damn thing to me.
[Chorus:]
I've been up
And I've been down.
And I've been beat
And pushed around
I'll pick myself up off the ground,
Just wait and see.
'Cause it's just another thing to me.
Just another bridge I'll have to burn.
Just another lesson I'm bound to learn.
Buddy ain't damn thing changin' me.
So watch and see, (you know that’s right)
'Cause it's just another thing to me.
[Verse:]
You know it ain't a thing with it.
So I focus on the game but I can't get it.
I got my people wonderin' if I still got it.
So I'm reachin' out the window for my pill bottle.
And I will follow.
Devil wanna ride with me,
But I ain't lettin' him.
I got a lot of my problems,
But I ain't stressin'.
I'm on a path of my past,
Of my days gone.
I keep on fightin'
And I'm tryin' to find my way home.
Head to the sky.
And ride just to stay strong.
My time tickin', quicker
Like I'm on a payphone.
They don't wanna hire me,
'Cause my piss is cloudy.
Lookin' down, but they don't know nothin' bout me.
They bringin' the wickedest sickest person
Out of my soul.
So I'm takin' 'em, makin' 'em
Work down them old dirt roads.
I re-arrange some things,
But there ain't no changin' me.
Man it's plain to see,
It's just another thing to me.
[Chorus:]
I've been up
And I've been down.
And I've been beat
And pushed around
I'll pick myself up off the ground,
Just wait and see.
'Cause it's just another thing to me.
Just another bridge I'll have to burn.
Just another lesson I'm bound to learn.
Buddy ain't damn thing changing me.
So watch and see,
It's just another thing to me.
[Verse:]
It's in the past now, so don't think about that.
Made some real bad choices, I can't take back.
That's why I don't brag about the things I own.
'Cause I can make a wrong turn and it'll all be gone.
I still bust my ass to make ends meet.
I understand a better plan is on it's way for me.
And hey it's just another day,
And I'll get by.
Just keep walkin' with my head high.
[Chorus:]
I've been up
And I've been down.
And I've been beat
And pushed around
I'll pick myself up off the ground,
Just wait and see.
'Cause it's just another thing to me.
Just another bridge I'll have to burn.
Just another lesson I'm bound to learn.
Buddy ain't damn thing changin' me.
So watch and see,
It's just another thing to me.
I've been up
And I've been down.
And I've been beat
And pushed around
I'll pick myself up off the ground,
Just wait and see.
'Cause it's just another thing to me.
Just another bridge I'll have to burn.
Just another lesson I'm bound to learn.
Buddy ain't damn thing changing me.
So watch and see,
It's just another thing to me.
Oh, it's just another thing to me.]
For me it resembled my life and at times still does. I am always learning lessons in life and chalking things up to experience but as its says my place isn't on the ground. I have made a mistakes and one of the biggest i endure everyday. People look down on me when they hear about the past I have and very few realize that I have overcome the mistake and I am not who I was when I chose to use drugs. I got myself clean and now have a beautiful family They are my reason for staying clean and sober but to others they don't see that they just hear the taboo in their minds and automatically judge me. I lived the life where once choice and everything was taken from me but with hard work and perseverance and a great support i have in my husband and our combined families I have a better life. I keep my head to the sky because the one who made me made me unique and one of a kind. Through him I am fearfully and wonderfully made, an its with him I find the strength to fight another day regardless of my past. I hope you take a chance to find the song and let it help you like its helped me.

Mine would be “Lose Yourself” by Eminem, that song gets me motivated every time! The thumping drum beat and his incredible rhythm are powerful

At times, at one point in life, you may find yourself pushed to the tight corners of life. This song in particular motivated me to keep my head above the water.

Man, this song came out when I was first approaching High School. It had a huge impact on me as well. Like you said, everyone is suffering but we don't talk about it very much. This is still a favorite song of mine.CaptnFuzzyPants wrote: ↑14 Feb 2019, 15:52 I think The Fray’s How to Save a Life impacted me the greatest, because people need help everywhere and it won’t get any better by ignoring it. It shows that you can greatly affect someone’s life for the, only if we pay attention. “One kind word can warm three winter months”(Unknown) It explains that we can the world a better place by being a better person and helping each other out, becuase “it is in the shelter of other people that we live”(Unknown also). Its a bit morbid but it completely true.
