Also the Ray Charles version of Busted and The Bells of St. Marys by Paul Whiteman, best version of a great song.

I havent listened to much today, a few ordanary songs but one I liked was one that my parents had on a record when I was a kid. Where The Wild, Wild, Flowers Grow by Roger Wolfe Kahn. Another one was Shame on You by Spade Cooley. And as I like concert band music I heard Marching Through Georgia by a group with the unbelievable name of The Indestructible Military Band. They do a kick-ass version of it, with the reveille bugle call to get you going for the day. After hearing that, Im ready to join Sherman's march to the sea.

My top songs for the day is an album I found online by Rex Allen. Son Dont Go Near The Indians, My Cross-eyed Gal, and his best, Streets of Laredo. He sings it in two octaves, not many can do that.

I havent listened to much of anything today. I had some music going while I was taking the green things off a bucket of strawberries I bought last night from some guy selling them door-to-door, but I wasnt paying much attention listening to it. One I do recall was Horsie Keep Your Tail Up by The Light Crust Doughboys, a western swing group but I dont remember anything else worth mentioning.

White Heat, also by Bob Wills, a hot jazz number.
Are you Lonesome Tonight by Oscar Grogan. Interesting, as this is a 1926 recording. Oscar is definetly not Elvis. What surprised me is that song first came out in the teens on an Edison cylinder recording.
