Re: Your Top 3 Songs

It's really hard to pick just three because my tastes vary day-to-day, but I can say that as of today my favorites are (in no particular order):

1) The A Team- Ed Sheeran/Boyce Avenue-> I never really heard this song before until I started listening to Boyce Avenue and I fell in love with this song. The story makes me really think about stuff and his voice makes me melt :3
2) Shakespeare- Miranda Cosgrove-> I know that she's a little out of my age range of music, but I really love this song! It's such a cute story and basically defines how I feel about relationships
3) (Major confession...) Another World- One Direction-> ...I just like how it sounds. I won't say anything else about it.

This is such a hard question, but...
1. Crazy -Gnarls Barkley
This song completely embodies the mindsets of the outcasts in this world. They refuse to conform, but in doing so, are told that they are crazy by those who see life as no other way.
2. Skyfall- Adele
This song is very dear to me, as my aunt passed away during the time of its release. The song encourages teamwork in any form, such as a family trying to get through a tough time.
3. On My Way to Heaven- Above & Beyond
Regardless of my weakness for these electronic-sounding songs, I enjoy the sounds of serenity within it. Then, there are moments of anguish, and solitude, in having to let go of something dear in one's life to "get to Heaven," or improve one's life.

Breaking of the Fellowship from Lord of the Rings, Look For the Silver Lining, and one of my very favorites I havent heard in years I found online just a couple days ago. The Whistler and his Dog by the Edison Military Band from a 1904 Edison cylinder recording. It still sounds good.

1) My Way - Sid Vicious. I know it's obviously a Sinatra cover, but I just love this version. :)
2) Don't Wanna Miss a Thing - Aerosmith. It was my wedding song.
3) Don't Look Back In Anger - Oasis. I'm a massive fan of Noel Gallagher, and it reminds me of my childhood. (Toyed between this and "Iris" by the Goo Goo Dolls, but this one won out!)

With me it changes from day to day.

Skye Boat Song by The Orlando Pops Orchestra
William Tell Overture, an unusual version by Arthur Pryor's military band, it rocks.
Mexicali Rose by Gene Autry, one of the most beautiful songs ever written.

Three songs that are instant happy place-

Smoke on the Water-Deep Purple
Duhduhduhdadumdadum absolutely timeless

Let It Roll-Bachman Turner Overdrive
One of those get up and party tunes

Hard-Rhianna
Having a bad day as a woman? This song gives ya the POWER, n' Jay Z raps like Callie

Three Songs that are instant romance-

Fly Me to the Moon-Frank Sinatra
Anytime...

Am I the Kind of Man-Marshall Tucker Band
This song is so very much my husband

Earth Is Still Our Only Home (Live version)-Jan Hammer
In Mahavishnu he was sexy as all get out...fantasies can survive decades

Three Songs that make me cry like a little girl

Tears in Heaven-Eric Clapton
He stopped performing this in 2004, that's how sad this song is...

Tiny Dancer-Elton John
Reminds me of some kids that done strayed off

Going Home-Hootie and the Blowfish
Darius's Mom died as they were writing this album...lovely song though
" The writer must write what he has to say, not speak it."

Here three I heard today I liked.

Patches by Dickie Lee

Mule Skinner Blues by the Fendermen

All Through the Night by Paul Robeson. Great baritone voice, he sounds like he's singing in a barrel.
