Lost love

Post by Prissy16 »

I wonder what my eyes keep searching for in me .. :?:
There's no fire and no smoke,
All I'm left with is ashes from the past,
Neither does that love nor it's memories remain,
There was such a burning fire in my heart
But nothing is there nothing is remained,
Whose picture I see in my eyes always,
I'm not the same loving person but it's quite like a grave....

I feel like you have a lot of material behind this poem. You have strong emotions and a tone that will be very successful in a poem. Consider what you really want to say.

The poem represents an emotional and nostalgic scenario. It beautifully describes the past and present emotional state. Coordination between the lines could be reconsidered.

I love this! I related to the first three lines so quickly. Nostalgia always gets me. But the past is gone, however it's always there casting shadows.

This poem clearly depicts the emotional trauma that sets in once a love affair has gone sour & finally gravitates to irreparable situation! i like the rhythm used and the choice of words.

This poem I can relate too. Its what I'm going through right now. Everything is fine and all of a sudden i am totally lost. I feel hurt inside in a way that its hard to explain.

I like this poem because it leaves me wanting to know more. it has me thinking that it is not about the poet losing a lost love as in a lover but losing the love for his/her self so much that he/she feels as though he/she is dying.

So much emotion... I can actually picture myself in the poem ... expressing love but not getting the same love back
