For me, honestly, it depends on the kind of scene I'm trying to write. My music choices will then depend on those!

When I'm writing, I tend to listen to music that helps me to think. The type of music that I listen to is Jazz and soothing R&B. Classical works well when I'm in the country and not wanting to be bothered by anyone.

I like the more gentle kind of music, so Indie is my favourite genre. Especially because of the beautiful Lyrics.

Oh my, it makes me sad to hear of people who can't/don't listen to music while they write. Music stirs the soul; people, you're missing out! I will cry for those few, and listen to more Lindsey Sterling for them.

I listen to a vast assortment of music. Depending on how recently I've heard it, I tend to swap genres, but mostly I go to a list of old video game sound tracks my brother put together. Like, 3D Alien Invasion, 3D Galaxy Fighters, 3d Block Bustin' Madness, and 3D Dragon Castle. Makes for a neutral background sound. :)

music is the art of our life. art in a sense, it can heal the human pain and sufferings. it has its regenerative power so that listening music can create sublime feelings in the speaker/listener. listening music while reading and working is good for me because it creates concentration while doing particular work. so, we need to develop the habit of listening music to be fresh, energetic, happy and healthy.

I like to find one of those videos on Youtube that are like " 8 hours of relaxing 432 hz music." Apparently, 432 Hz is perfect for relaxation and cell renewal. :)

I listen to my playlists on Pandora of instrumental music. I love Mozart's symphonies especially his Jupiter Symphony. I also have a movie soundtrack playlist that I find also helps my creativity to flow when I write. :D

It really depends on what I'm writing. If it's action packed, I listen to something with a heady beat, like Power or Salute by Little Mix. When I'm writing a deep, touching scene, that's when I slow down and go for something a little soul-rending. When it's an erotic scene or some type of charged setting ... well, you get the picture.
