Incredibly Beautiful Music

Post by DATo »

Post music you would classify as "Incredibly Beautiful".

An actual sample we can refer to would be nice.

Guitar duo of Don McClean's Vincent featuring Muriel Anderson and Tommy Emmanuel performed live in Soave, Italy.

Great question, @DATo. I have wildly eclectic tastes in music, but one wonderful piece I go back to at this time of year is JS Bach's cantata 'Wachet Auf, uns ruft die Stimme'. On a non-classical (and non-Christmassy) theme, something about the Seekers' Recording of 'Now the Carnival is Over' always makes me tingle.

Howdy Lassie. I'm sure you are referring to the second movement which is the part everybody knows. I like it too. Good call, but then anything by Bach "always makes me tingle" *LOL*

I would consider Bach incredibly beautiful. I would also consider Enya's voice Incredibly beautiful as well.

I have recently made the acquaintance of some Shaker hymns and they are beautiful in their simplicity and feeling.

Enya's Shepherd Moon accented by Camille Pissaro's artwork .... Incredibly Beautiful .... so beautiful in fact that it literally made a very good friend of mine who is into impressionist art cry.

That's beautiful, @DATo, and I may well write a poem about it, though it won't do it justice!

I saw your poem as you may well know by now.

It was very nice!

Thanks, @DATo. Please can I also put in a word for the unearthly beauty of Hildegarde of Bingen's music?
