Have you ever thought of inventing your own type of poem?

Post by Lincolnshirelass »

I have often played around with various forms, both rhyming and free, but they have essentially just been variants on a theme. I wonder if my own type of poem should be called the JUDITHERINO, playing on my own real name and the fact that I am a world champion ditherer, so maybe the trick would be to keep the focus/theme of the poem back until the last moment! :?

I once wrote a poem in the form of a logic question. It went like, "Premise: blah blah blah. Therefore: blah blah blah" which was really fun. Then I wrote another poem that was in the form of a sonata, which was also fun. Just playing around with form can be lots of fun.

I types of my poems depends on my mood. When I feel happy and jolly, the poem is like a care free thing wanting to fly amd go with the flow of a very nice breezy wind. If im sad and problematic, it shows on my poems as well.

I don't know about inventing some kind of different movement, but I do write poems whenever I feel inspired. I play around with words a lot, and just try to see what fits the best. And as for the rhyme, it's usually a free verse.
