do you listen to music when you work?

This is the place for readers of poetry. Discuss poetry and literary art. You can also discuss music here, including lyrics. Also, you can discuss poets themselves, in addition to poetry.

I've always done it, just like right now. It makes me more focused and calm.

Unless I am reading something or writing something important, music is on all the time.

Yes, I do and it makes my work faster. Not all the time but I do enjoy listening to music while working

I love to listen to Classical music while I work. I have a radio playing in the kitchen all day (yes, I'm old school). My children have grown up and they now do the same. It stays on while we cook, clean, or chat. Social media takes over too much of our lives but listening to the radio keeps us up to date on what is happening in the world without overwhelming us.

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. It usually depends on my mindset. But if I don't listen to music sometimes I listen to podcasts but I usually find myself working in full silence. So it usually depends on how Im feeling on that specific day.

I'm quite in the middle. Sometimes I need to listen to some music, sometimes I don't. I listen when I need the motivation to work, but when a task needs my full attention I don't listen to any music and just work on silence.

I got so used to it I can barely work or read without music, it’s like a problem.

While working I do listen to music and before I know it I'm done with what I'm doing. It helps reduce stress especially when I'm doing house chores

Incorporating music into your daily routine can have numerous benefits. For example, listening to upbeat music in the morning can help jumpstart your day and give you the energy boost you need to tackle your to-do list.

On the other hand, listening to calming music before bed can help you relax and unwind, leading to a better night's sleep.
