What is your favorite poem and who writes it? Do any of you write your own poetry? I do!

My favourite poem is The Stolen Child by W.B. Yeats. It's so full of innocence and so relatable! You should definitely check it out. :D

I don't write poems. I used to but they never sounded quite right and so I stopped.

On international scene I like the poems of Alison Chisholm. Alison is a British contemporary poet. I like the realism that she puts into her poems. The poems have simplicity yet are touching and detailed. In my home country I like the poems of Dambudzo Marechera, perhaps one of the best poets the world has had.

My favorite poet is Rupi Kaur. I adore her first collection Milk and Honey.
I write in journals but have never felt confident enough in my writing to share it with anyone.

Hi, yeah I do write poems. I'm also writing a novel, a trilogy, but that will take months or probably a year to come to fruition. I'm not a big fan of favorites but out of the top of my head; favorite poem is A second childhood by G.K. Chesterton, favorite poetess is Sylvia Plath

What I dreamt half its picturesque is you
What I dreamt half its prudence is you
What I dreamt half its reality is you
What I dreamt half its constitution is you
What I dreamt incomplete its fate is you
In my eyes your love... every moment its completeness is you
In my dream it is always love for you
What I felt in my love that ever came true it is you

(Adapted from Urdu Song : ' Jo kehte hum se adhooray se sapnay'; Pakistani Film: ' Phool mere gulshan ka'). Poet I cannot recall.

Pablo Neruda! This probably has to be his most famous line: "Love is so short, forgetting is so long" (from "Tonight I Can Write"). Although my favorite work of his has got to be "Poet's Obligation," and "Ode to Clothes." And yes, I also write poetry. I write in English and Filipino.

I've always loved Walt Whitman, particularly his poem Song of Myself. I also like Alan Ginsburg's Howl. I do not write poetry myself. I can appreciate poetry, but writing it is not a skill I have.
