3 poems for the clinically depressed
I love you
also love loves you
you've always loved love
doesn't love feel good
also love doesn't exist
love is like magic
it doesn't exist
love is also like you
because I've never met you
but you're magic too
hypothetical you
~
my eyes open
brain catching up
blink, blink, blink
what's different today?
same bedroom, same bed sheets
limbs and organs intact
no foul smells, or wetness
then a thought, am I dead?
a deep breath
yes it seems I've died
this is what dead feels like
so should I just lie here or go back to sleep?
~
Stock photo woman
There is a stock photo woman
real still, looking over her right shoulder,
crouched and glaring
caught on camera mid-squat;
as if she found an open man hole
and just jumped in,
clothes suggesting family wealth,
possibly an inheritance,
she makes filthy sewers feel luxurious:
perched mouth, hair cascading,
down to earth, yet sophisticated
but oh lord, says, the stock photo woman:
they chase me around
force me to dress
nobody asks what's in my soul
underneath these clothes and makeup
her deepest concealed desire
a small bite of
pie
cheers,
damo

On that note I didn't understand some of it but it wasn't bad for a start. I can tell as one with depression as well that writing helps relieve the weight on my shoulders and if it does the same for you don't stop.
