It really depends on what the situation is that determines the song like recently it's been 'maybe tomorrow' by Westlife
"Trust the wisdom of your soul it knows the way" unknown

Don't Give Up by Peter Gabrielle. This song has gotten me through depressing times! Being a varsity student from a poor background is tough! Having my goals in mind and this gem by Peter Gabrielle helps me through it!
Amazing. I love Don't Give Up by Peter Gabrielle. Excellent choice. :tiphat:
Heart! We will forget him!
You an I, tonight!
You may forget the warmth he gave,
I will forget the light.

When you have done, pray tell me
That I my thoughts may dim;
Haste! lest while you're lagging.
I may remember him!

This is gonna sound absolutely terrible but I know when I was at the peak of being bullied in high school I would just come home and listen to F**k You by Lily Allen on a loop for like an hour. It was my way of coping lol :crying-pink:

I fully enjoy almost anything by Florence + the Machine. If I'm looking for something that gives me hope and helps me to soldier through the day, I might choose "Shake it Out" or "Dog Days Are Over". If I am feeling down, I go for "Various Storms and Saints". Finally, one that devastates me is "Heavy in Your Arms".
Here are some of my favorite lyrics from these selections:
I. "Shake it Out":
1. "Regrets collect like old friends
Here to relive your darkest moments"
2. "And it's hard to dance with a devil on your. back
So shake him off, oh whoa"
3. "'Cause I am done with my graceless heart
So tonight I'm gonna cut it out and then restart"
II. "Dog Days Are Over":
1. "Happiness, hit her like a train on a track
Coming towards her, stuck still no turning back"
2. "The dog days are over
The dog days are done"
III. Various Storms & Saints
1. "And I'm in the throes of it
Somewhere in the belly of the beast"
2. "The monument of a memory
You tear it down in your head
Don't make the mountain your enemy
Get out, get up there instead"
3. "I know you're bleeding, but you'll be okay
Hold on to your heart, you'll keep it safe
Hold on to your heart, don't give it away"
4. "You'll find a rooftop to sing from
Or find a hallway to dance
You don't need no edge to cling from
Your heart is there, it's in your hands
I know it seems like forever
I know it seems like an age
But one day this will be over
I swear it's not so far away"
IV. "Heavy in Your Arms"
1. "And is it worth the wait
All this killing time?
Are you strong enough to stand
Protecting both your heart and mine?"

"Skyscraper" by Demi Lovato. It came out when I was going through one of the toughest phases in my life. Such a lifesaver! <3

A path with a secret covered,
Like ice, like ember,

I like Yelawolf's "Got Til It's Gone." I also like "I Did It My Way," the Frank Sinatra version, and "Everybody Loves the Sunshine," Roy Ayers.

"Don't Hurt Yourself"- Beyoncé

That whole album is amazing. I was so late to the party, but I'm glad I arrived, eventually.

Lately, my go-to hard day song is "Running Up That Hill" by Meg Myers (though I believe it is a cover of the original song by Kate Bush). I was first shown the song because of the artistic nature of the music video. The band asked kids from a local school to do coloring-pages of the different images that made the music video. Watching that made me smile, just because of the idea, but I realized I loved the song because it felt like the music video made it look. Just like the coloring-pages, it was full of child-like wonder, nostalgia, and a deeper sense of overcoming struggle by finding simple joy together.

Yes! And it's not just a song; it's an entire album. Go and listen to the Hamilton musical soundtrack and for sure, your spirits will be lifted. :tiphat:
