What kind of music do you listen to?

This is the place for readers of poetry. Discuss poetry and literary art. You can also discuss music here, including lyrics. Also, you can discuss poets themselves, in addition to poetry.

I listen to all kinds of genres, some of my favorites being Irish/Celtic, country, EDM, classical, and Christian (though I got a little bored of that last one because they all sound the same). But my most favorite of all types of music is film scores. My favorite musicians are all composers: Hans Zimmer, Brian Tyler, Danny Elfman, etc. I am working on going to college to learn music composition so I can become a composer, too. If you're interested, try out a couple of these and see if you like them:

"Theme from Schindler's List" from Schindler's List by John Williams

"Sherlocked" from Sherlock S2E1 'A Scandal in Belgravia' by David Arnold and Michael Price

"First Step" from Interstellar by Hans Zimmer

"Rise Together" from Avengers: Age of Ultron by Danny Elfman/Brian Tyler

"Ben" from National Treasure by Trevor Rabin

"Jack Sparrow" from Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest by Hans Zimmer

Not trying to force my tastes on anyone, of course, but I get so excited even thinking about these things and I wish everyone could hear their beauty.
"If we find ourselves with a desire that nothing in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that we were made for another world." - C.S. Lewis

I like listening to different kinds of music for different types of activities. When I go walking I like to listen to upbeat music, and when I am relaxing or going to bed I like to listen to instrumental music. Disney music is great when I feel like I need to be inspired, so that's when I break out the soundtrack from Moana or I listen to Try Everything from Zootopia. I also enjoy listening to music from musicals for inspiration as well. I'm not a big fan of country because the more twangy, whiny sounding ones get really annoying to me.

I love slow ballads! The melody isn't just beautiful and sweet; they also convey special messages which I personally love and appreciate.

I listen to all kinds of things!!! Mostly alternative rock and dark pop, though. Once in a while, I’ll listen to some electronic pop and heavy metal. Lyrics are very important to me, so if the lyrics are good, I’ll most likely love it :)

This past week I have been on a Broadway Musical trend. I have Sirius XM and this is one of my preset channels. As I have scrolled through, I have heard several songs I recognized and was singing along. Today, I watched Jesus Christ, Superstar on Demand. I have those songs running through my head. I cannot wait until Easter to see this performed live with John Legend.
