Jan 5 SOTD ~ Last Kiss by J Frank Wilson and the Cavaliers

"Last Kiss" by J Frank Wilson and the Cavaliers

Album

Last Kiss - Single

My Comments

I usually listen to the Pearl Jam version. But the original, well, it's the original! I think it's such a clever song in the way the lyrics are so opposite to the tone. I think that contrast actually reflects the this crazy thing called reality to which we can all relate for better of for worse.

What do you think?

What do you think? Like my song pick today or nah? Have you listened to this song before? Please post a reply letting me know.

This song reminds me so much of Simon and Garfunkle's, "I am a Rock". The tone directly contradicts the lyrics, because the former is so upbeat and peppy. The story behind the lyrics are rather tragic, but I love songs that can tell a story and sound good!
