OnlineBookClub.org Song of the Day ~ Nominations

Post by Scott »

Interesting factoid about me: I'm super cool. 8)

Second factoid: I love music.

:character-beavisbutthead:

I will pick a song of the day each day and post it right here on the OnlineBookClub.org Book and Reading Forums and on the OnlineBookClub.org YouTube Channel. (Go subscribe to the channel now. In addition to this cool feature, more exciting things are sure to come from the channel!)

The songs will be in different genres. Some will be very new songs. Some will be #throwbacks.

I also strongly encourage suggestions.

If you want a nominate a song for consideration, please post the YouTube video as a reply to this topic. Please limit your nominations to once per day per member. I'll pick my favorites from the nominations.

To post a YouTube video use the following BBCode:

Code: Select all

[youtube]VIDEOID[/youtube]
If you don't know how to work the above code, no need to worry, just post the link to the video.

Random fact about me: I am not cool at all. :(

But I like weird music...
And Japanese music...
Especially weird, Japanese music.

Here you go. I will start off small, with a Japanese group who sings in English... 8)

I don't think I count as cool (huge shock, I know  ), but I love music. My tastes run all over the place, so sorry if my suggestions wind up a little out there.

For my suggestion this week I offer you I'm a Mess by The Rasmus.

Most people don't read books at all anymore. So by that fact alone you are both definitely cool!

Now, granted, maybe, you're not as super-duper incredibly cool and modest as me, but we can't all be. ;)

I'm pretty rad, in fact I have a copy of the movie. I still can't believe it wasn't mentioned in Ready Player One. Anyhow, here's my suggestion based off our current antagonistic climate. A powerful song about two very different types of people coming to see each other in a similar light.

Country, @"Escapeartist"? Nice 8)
I like more older country (can't believe I'd say that about music from ten years ago, but...), but I find some now and then that interests me. I'll have to give this one a listen. I'm sure I've heard it before...

We all know that @Scott is the coolest most modest one here, so no one needs to stroke your ego.

Let's say nominations can be once a day per person instead of once a week at least for now. There's no need to limit them if there are not too many.

If it starts to pick up again, I'll try to give preference to those who haven't nominated before.

I edited the OP to change 'week' to 'day'.

Yeah, it's probably one of those songs others would get annoyed at rather quickly...but it's my pick today because...why not? It could be the best day of my life, or yours...
