How do you discover new music?

Both of my adult sons share their music discoveries with me. They both have great taste in music, and I end up adding more artists to my collection of favorites.

I discover new music by watching covers on YouTube and when I put a music Chanel on TV.

I don't actively search for new music. It's usually my friends who recommend music to me. And that's how I am able to discover new types of music lol. XD

Usually when I am looking to find new music I go to pandora! I know that sounds pretty basic, but it actually does help me. I like listening to the "Alternative Hits" station. Also, my boyfriend likes to make me mixtapes

Spotify enhance for playlists and radios from playlists I already have are the ways I find new music! Highly recommend!!

There was a music channel, MYX, that i used to watch when i was in high school that plays songs that topped the chart every week through text votes. The music video and the lyrics on the screen makes me understand the song better

I have a very specific type of sound i like when it comes to music. What I'll often do is scroll through pages on social media and find people with a cool voice. Once that is done, I'll search them up on youtube and randomly check out a song or two and see what i think

Jumping between radio stations and Youtube. I especially like one of the newer features on Youtube called "Youtube Mix". Pick a song you like then it generates an ongoing playlist of various songs it thinks you'll like. Some of which you may have heard before and some which may be entirely new to you but similar to your tastes.

I tend to listen to my fave artists and know when they release music but I also think social media has really opened the door for hearing new artists and music.

I have telegram channels which suggest new music all the time. My friends have the biggest influence for my newer tastes.

When I want to discover new music I write a specific country in the search bar and after that, I just scroll through the results.
