By example, the very first time I heard those songs :
"The end of the world" by Brenda Lee
"Against the wind" by Bob Seger
"Have you ever seen the rain ?" by Rod Stewart
"These are the days" by Van Morison
"Meet me halfway" by Kenny Loggins
"Viveme" by Laura Pausini
"I wanna take forever tonight" by Peter Cetera
"I wanna grow old with you" by Westlife
"I never lived before your love" by Kelly Clarkson
"Everything I do, I do it for you" by Bryan Adams
"Pour t'aimer, j'ai menti" by Toni Massarelli, just to name a few that are among my favorite songs, I wasn't even familiar with those performers to begin with. I just happened to hear those songs in my favorite tv shows like soap opera "Another World", "Cold Case", music videos about Jane & Lisbon from "The Mentalist" and other shows or movies like "Nine months" with Hugh Grant. And then I was hooked to those songs and singers.
