I do the unlimited music through apple itunes. There are so many more radio stations to listen to. It's easier to just add a song to your playlist. You also don't have any ads to listen to.

I browse through a music streaming app and go from there. I first learned about new music on the radio when I was young, but I do not listen to the radio as much outside of my car. The apps are more convenient. If I listen to a song repetitively that has been spaced out for a few days and it gets my attention, then I start to gather interest in it. Then, I refer to YouTube to add new songs to my playlist, which will help me gather more new music.

That is how I have always done it. It is not something that simply happens overnight for me though. I guess I get a little picky with music and I use a time-consuming process to determine if the music is worth listening to or not.

Sometimes it Pandora, but recently it's been what ever has been on the radio. Other times it would be sound tracks for movies.

I subscribe to Youtube channels such as UnknownPowerMetal that track new releases of often unknown bands.

I usually listen to a Pandora radio with my favorite genre typed in. This usually results in me finding a new band or at least a new song to like. :)

I listen to different radio stations while I'm in the car. I also go on iTunes and listen to different genres. If I really like something, then I'll also go online and look up the lyrics. I'm all about the lyrics and meaning. If it's something I like a lot, then I will purchase it on iTunes.

I usually discover new music by listening to my "Discover Weekly" playlist on Spotify. They put together a playlist on music for you to listen to every Monday depending on the kind of music you listen to on it and stuff. I've found new artists that way usually. I also have some artists follow me on Twitter and I actually take the time to listen to their music when I have the time to just to see if I like them or not.

My most recent outlet in discovering new music is Spotify. They have all sorts of playlists you can go through, organizing them in different moods, settings, genres, and much more. I am not ashamed to say I have well over ten thousand songs on my Spotify at the moment.

My husband is usually the one who discovers new music before me as he is constantly listening to the radio etc. But I usually use YouTube, Pandora, or Spotify.
