Anyone for " Gospel ? "

Post by suzy1124 »

Ever since I was a little girl years ago, I've always been attracted to this very EXCITING music...

I think it must have all started when I saw Mahalia Jackson in a movie, and was " dancing " in my seat...

These days there's Bebe Winans

The Blind Boys of Alabama

Shirley Caesar, etc...............

Give it a try, you might like it!

I personally could never really get into the genre. However, to anyone who does like it, good for you for finding something you like!

I like some gospel. I have to mix music up. Kind of like mixing up genres of reading too.

I love gospel music just because it is so uplifting and soulful. Its the type of music that you turn on when you had a bad day and you just want to hear something that will lift your spirits up and put you in a better mood. My favorite gospel singers are Donnie McClurkin and I love the Winans family. He's not really a singer but Kirk Franklin makes good music too.

I love Gospel music for the gospel. I listen to Hillsong, Jesus Culture, Bethel Music and many more artists in the genre. I am not always that psyched about the instrumentals though. I like rap that preaches the gospel as well - rappers like Flame, Canon and Trip Lee write awesome uplifting lyrics with biblical truths and 'killa' beats.

I like many gospel music. I am not sure if there is a difference between gospel music and Christian music, but I enjoy a lot of modern day Christianity music.
