Well, poetry is a beautiful thing. I like most when it combines beauty with wisdom.

Yeah same. I love poetry too, but sadly I have less poetry books on my shelf. I hope to read more and add them in my collection.

Well, poetry is both delightful and practical. In my situation, every time I read a poem that I can relate to, I am overcome with emotion, which instantly calms my heart. I can relate to any poetry with a good message, and I will always appreciate it.

I'm not a huge fan of poetry, but I do like poems that don't just tell a story but reveal it to you. If that makes any sense.

I think you missed the first poet. Hesiod, he lived in the pre-Socratic era. Lol

Poetry, on the other hand, is a lovely thing. It appeals to me the most when it combines beauty and knowledge.

I as well love poetry because it means expression for me. Poetry is one way to evoke our sentiments and feelings. Sometimes I find myself writing random poems on random subjects.

Read aloud, read with feeling, read a lot, savor each word. And when you find something that really takes you, keep hold of it. Return to the lines you love, write them down, find inspiration in them. It's easy to give up on an art form that you've never tried before.

Yes true. I like poetry...because as for as a new author. I started off my writing with short poems which eventually grow into a collection.. my interest in writing started and so I publish the poetry and now I am currently writing my second book..and yes I really love poetry because it enables me to step into that art of writing.

I love poetry too. My favourite poet is Gulzar. I also love Arabic poetry. They express love so deeply and meaningfully that even coldest hearts would melt.
