Both good choices. Admittedly, I prefer 'Come Together' but so many of their songs are greatCircling Turtle wrote:If I had to pick just one it would be Eleanor Rigby... It's a close call between that and Come Together though. The first time I heard Eleanor Rigby it made me cry.

It's actually from 'Rubber Soul' (one of my favourite albums) and it's definitely one of the best songs from that album, alongside 'In My Life' and 'Drive My Car'. Great choice!ReadandRoll[ wrote:Norwegian Wood from Revolver.

I like the song for its simple, meaningful message and its sincere quest for commitment.

Great one! The orchestra in that was quite unusual for the group, but it fits beautifully and gives the album a nice crescendo. On that note:Jolyon Trevelyan wrote:A Day In The Life
This is completely different from the semi-orchestral song above, which really shows how much variety is in that one album. It reminds me a lot of 'Her Majesty' from 'Abbey Road. And I agree that it's wonderfully unassumingMichelle Liew wrote:Mine is When I'm 64. The song was one I have always used as a teacher, to lead students into poetry lessons.
I like the song for its simple, meaningful message and its sincere quest for commitment.

I like both, though I prefer 'Norwegian Wood'.Max Tyrone wrote:My favorites from them are "The Ballad of John and Yoko" and "Norwegian Wood", though I can't say that I'd have ever listened to the latter had I not read the novel of the same name haha
That one reminds me of 'Blackbird' from the white albumSnowkait wrote:My favorite is by far "You've got to hide your love away". I absolutely love that song.
