I absolutely love Poe. The Raven was one of his first poems I came across. I remember having to memorize parts of it for middle school English class and then we moved on to The Masque of the Red Death.

One of my favorite's of Poe's - I have it on my list of poems to memorize one day.
The man was a genius.
I went to visit his grave a few months ago in Baltimore. It was a great experience. I recommend going.

Poe is unbelievable. I adore this poem, the way he creates words that you can understand based on how they sound was so revolutionary. All of his made-up words sound just like what he intends them to mean, and that's such an amazing twist to the genres he exists in.

Fully agreed. Reciting the poem alone takes about seven or eight minutes, so composing it - only a genius such as Poe could do so.

That was the first Poe poem i ever read and now I’m hooked. His work is dark but really good.

This sure brings back some memories. I don't know that you can post a poem here. I thought this is a book review club. I'm just confused. I liked Edgar Allan Poe's works, especially Annabel Lee. It's very tragic but unforgettable.
