New Music Suggestions?

Post by musiclover182013 »

I love finding new and unique music. I thought it would be fun to start a conversation that gives us a chance to share new music with each other. Hopefully, we can give everyone a new song, genre, group, or whatever! Here are a few "unique" songs that I love :)

The Black Canvas-Yonas (Hip-Hop)
The Plot to Bomb the Panhandle-A Day to Remember (punk)
Freedom-Michael W. Smith (classical)
Cha-Ching (Till We Get Older)-Imagine Dragons (Indie Pop)
Goodmorning (Pink Ganter Remix)-William Fitzsimmons (I'm not sure what this would be classified as)

So, lets hear all your music! :)

P.S. No judgement on genres or different songs. This is a chance to discover new things.

American Authors are really catchy...
And very positive from what I've heard so far.
I’m just a believer
That things will get better
Some can take it or leave it
But I don’t wanna let it go
What's not to like?

First of all, thanks for starting this thread musiclover182013! I listen to a very eclectic range of music, so I'm always happy to have a listen to what other people enjoy.

At the moment, music from the band HAIM is re-looping itself on my ipod. HAIM is an indie-pop-rock trio of sisters who are all musically very talented. Between the three of them, apart from singing and writing their own music, they also play keys, guitar and percussion live while performing. One of their latest collaborations with Lorde, Pusha T and Q-Tip is featured on the "Mockingjay Part 1" movie soundtrack.

I'd highly recommend watching their performance of "The Wire" on SNL, as well as "Honey and I" and "Let Me Go" at the iTunes Festival 2013.
