Okay so I don't know about making me actually cry like kind of a lot, but Alec Benjamin is an artist who I love that writes some sad songs. His songs "Love is a Fragile Dance" and "I Built a Friend" are definitely something different from the norm. His lyrics and songs are just extraordinary and it's clear he puts so much work into the songs he writes.

Actually just made a post about some sad songs I recommend in this forum but I just remembered a song that's actually made me cry. It's called "This Is My Version" and it's by Conor Maynard. He released the good studio version a month or two ago but it's so deep. I just feel like when you listen to it, you can really feel how he feels and you can feel the emotion in his voice from when he got his heart broke.

Into the West by Annie Lenox, used in the last installment of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy - The Return of the King. I can't listen to that song without tearing up. I don't know if it's because of the attachment I have between that song and the final scenes from Return of the King, or if the song is just that powerful. Either way, it's a brilliant song.

I did cry to Snow Patrol-Run recently. I just finished reading a story that ended on a bittersweet note and listening to the song added to the emotional turmoil. Songs are really beautiful in the way they can evoke so much emotions.

Falling in love from T-ARA (if I am not mistaken). The melody was quite sad.

I haven't cried for any song yet, but there are a few which make me feel really sad; perhaps because of the tune. A few of them are:

1. Geeta Sangeetha (Movie: Geeta)
2. Kelade nimageega (Movie: Geeta)
3. Yaava mohana murali (Movie: America America)

Absolutely anything by Twenty One Pilots. Some of their more popular songs are grazed right over and listeners miss the deeper meaning, but I promise you that it's there ;)

The song that made me cry is "Dance with my Father" by Luther Vandross. I grew up without a father. He passed away when I was still young but if I could make a wish, I would prioritize my mom, not myself. I would want my mom to have another dance with my father for I have witnesses her grief through the years.

I guess it's technically not a song, but music from the closing scene of Titanic movie. I think it reminds me of my mom who has passed now. She lost my dad after a few years of them being together.

I'm the most sensitive person when it comes to movies and books, but when it comes to songs, I'm even worse. Any song that really hits home, as in, if it's something that I can strongly and directly relate to, I will cry. Recently, I've cried to Beauty From Pain by Superchick, which was this song I used to listen to non-stop when I was younger.

The Dance by Garth Brooks

The Change by Garth Brooks

Both of these songs I associate with 9-11. Enough said.
