This is the place for readers of poetry. Discuss poetry and literary art. You can also discuss music here, including lyrics. Also, you can discuss poets themselves, in addition to poetry.

The shorter the better if I’m reading them. Poems of more than 3 pages seem excessive.

If the poem is deep and has a meaning with emotions it doesn't matter which one is either long or short

Short poems for me. I like getting to the point and heart of whatever I'm talking about right away. I also feel like it's more impactful for me when I reread it or whenever I go back to it, it's easy to remember my headspace and where I was coming from.

I don’t think the length of the poem is really a preference for me. It doesn’t really matter either way.

I prefer to read the shorter poems. The longer ones, to me, are less interesting. I know poems are meant to be emotional, but there are some types of them that I just don't understand.

I enioy reading long and short poems. When I write I tend to stick to shorter poems as they tend to have more impact to me.
