MOTM October 2018: Kandscreeley

Post by bookowlie »

I am pleased to announce the October Member of the Month...Kandscreeley! Although she is a Special Discussion leader, we have decided to make an exception since she hadn’t been a MOTM prior to becoming a discussion leader. Also, it’s pretty obvious she is an outstanding member of this site and deserves to be recognized as such. Kandscreeley has been an enthusiastic contributor to the forums since December 2016. Her reviews are well written and she gets to the heart of what makes a book special (or not); her opinions of the various books in the Elf series are particularly interesting. What makes Kandscreeley a standout is her diligence in supporting other reviewers, especially the newbies - posting comments on reviews, answering questions, giving detailed advice, etc. Let’s face it…we all get busy and don’t post on other members’ reviews as often as we would like. That’s why Kandscreeley’s consistent attention to other reviewers’ work is so admirable. Above all, seeing her chomping on fried chicken (at least, that’s what it looks like) in her profile photo always make me smile. Please join me in a hearty round of applause for Kandscreeley!

Congratulations, Kandscreeley! :D I've always enjoyed reading your reviews, and like what bookowlie mentioned, that picture of you biting down on chicken(?) always makes me grin.

Congrats and welcome to our little group! It's customary for the current MOTM to wear something on their head during the month. You could wear something seasonal, such as a pumpkin or witch's hat.

The banana band and their eclectic group of friends have arrived to offer their congratulations -

THANKS!!! It IS October, so I think it would definitely have to be a witch's hat. :darth:

Congrats kandscreeley!
I think you will look smashing in a witch's hat :)

Witches scare me so I might have to steer clear of you this month. If you bought Halloween candy, I will get some after the month is over and you have put the witch's hat away. Hahaha

But Glenda was a witch! Maybe I can be a good witch? That means gravy will have to revise his hat choice, though!

Kandscreeley, if I were you I would opt for Gravy's witch's hat ..... I had to wear a turkey on my head cause mine fell in November. [:- (
