At least yarn doesn't crow!

CommMayo, sorry about your beloved dog. I'm sure he will be sorely missed. By you, hubby, and the chickens.

Miriam Molina wrote: 01 Apr 2018, 18:22 P.S. I've always been curious about your avatar. Is your hubby allergic to chicken? Or am I just so dense I couldn't get the joke?
You are not the only one to wonder. A lot of people just assumed I was a man, too.

The joke is that my husband will divorce me if I get any more chickens, so I have to hide them from him. People tend to drop them off at my house and I've been known to buy some baby chicks to make me feel better after a really hard day. I had one friend drop off a rooster and it took my husband two months to figure it out  He was not amused...
Secondly...

I completely understand. Chickens are awesome, though I have a particular weakness for roosters. I had one once, he was the sweetest thing ever, and I just loved him so much. I can't have any at this time, but I will always, always want them.

I recently saw some jersey giant chicks... They were too cute for my own good.
None of them came home with me, but I spent a good long time fawning over them.

Grief is just love with no place to go.
