At least yarn doesn't crow!ButterscotchCherrie wrote: ↑02 Apr 2018, 14:25 LOL you know, it's funny - people claim there are substances you can't get addicted to. Yet your situation reminds me of these secret knitters who buy balls of yarn secretly, etc.

The joke is that my husband will divorce me if I get any more chickens, so I have to hide them from him. People tend to drop them off at my house and I've been known to buy some baby chicks to make me feel better after a really hard day. I had one friend drop off a rooster and it took my husband two months to figure it out He was not amused...
I completely understand. Chickens are awesome, though I have a particular weakness for roosters. I had one once, he was the sweetest thing ever, and I just loved him so much. I can't have any at this time, but I will always, always want them.
I recently saw some jersey giant chicks... They were too cute for my own good.
None of them came home with me, but I spent a good long time fawning over them.
What is grief, if not love persevering?
Grief is just love with no place to go.
