MOTM February 2018: Lincolnshirelass

Post by bookowlie »

I am pleased to announce our newest Member of the Month…Lincolnshirelass! An avid reader, her tastes are varied, from contemporary fiction to the classics. She even thinks she may have read Jane Eyre ninety times! Since joining the site in 2017, Lincolonshirelass has enthusiastically posted about a variety of topics in the reading, writing, and poetry discussions. When you get a chance, hop on over to the Creative Original Works: Poetry section and read her poem “The Lament of the Prodigal Son’s Brothers.” She can often be found hanging out in the Community Forum, playing games such as “5-Letter Word.” Lincolnshirelass regularly supports other members through her thoughtful comments on their reviews. Although this Brit loves coffee (don’t all Brits prefer tea?!), she is a cheerful and valued presence on the forums. Please join me in a hearty round of applause for our February MOTM. Lassie, we are glad you’re here!

Well, even though you are a Brit, it's okay since you love coffee (but the real question is with cream or without??) :D No, really... Congratulations!! Couldn't happen to a better person...

You are all so incredibly kind! Thanks a million! About the coffee - I actually generally have it with just a splash of semi-skimmed milk, sorry if that's heretical!

It's okay... :) It's probably amazing that you drink coffee at all. I personally like both hot coffee and hot tea...

You will have to think about an appropriate hat or crown to wear during the month! Since Valentine's Day is in February, you can wear a heart on your head with Cupid's arrow through it. A crown of chocolate candy would also work!

Time for the banana band to welcome you to our MOTM group! Congratulations!

Owlie -

It is coincidental that just this morning appraised Lassie about the turkey I had to wear on my head since mine fell in November. *LOL*

DATo - When I won, I ran around the neighborhood wearing a book on my head while trick or treating. :) I hope no one took a video at the time!
