Yes indeed, I was hoping nobody would notice that. Very ominous. What's interesting is that he was all ready to invade Parthia to avenge and recover the "eagles" that Marcus Crassus lost on his tragic invasion attempt. With Caesars track record there is a high probability that he could have defeated Rome's ancient enemy and who knows what he would have done, or where he would of gone from there. His assassination shaped the modern world.
Ominous? Not a bit of it! The implications are obvious. Fran must postpone the cutting of her birthday cake till March 15th when we shall all meet here at the forum (the "forum" - how Romanesque) and each in turn plunge a dagger into her birthday cake to cut ourselves a piece. We will have B'day cake and coffee .... AND .... for entertainment I will tickle Carla Hurst-Chandler as she drinks her coffee and we can all experience the excitement of watching her blow coffee out her nose [:- )
Sounds like a great plan DATo man. :) It will be great to celebrate Fran's birthday at the same time. WHOOOHOOO!!!!

@Fran,

One must be very careful when hanging around people wearing togas. Case in point below ...

Is this not the perfect characterization of Nero? Just look at his face *LOL*

@Fran
I have a compromise suggestion: what if we wear togas but hide all the guitars? [:- o

Hahaha guys, don't worry I will have plenty of Lictors ( glorified bodyguards who looked after magistrates) there to make sure that no such violence takes place.

With regards to Nero, he would have taken the guitar and tried to outplay him. Of course everybody would have voted that his performance was the best regardless of how bad it was and once again Nero would bath in his delusions of grandeur.

So...kind of like what is happening with Hillary in our Primaries in the States, then??
