Member of the Month Nomination: Gannon

Post by Carla Hurst-Chandler »

We are very happy to announce the March Member of the Month: Gannon!

A member with a heart of a Centurion and the fancy hat to match! To countless hours spent at The Online Pub, and Smuggler's Inn...enjoying Fran's witty repartee and fighting off the hedgehogs. Congratulations!

@Gannon, you are a Book and Reading Discussion Forums legend and I am sure I speak for many when I applaud your selection as Member Of The Month. I am sure you will wear the crown with distinction.

Now, down to business ....

The MOTM is usually associated with something relative to the month in which he or she is serving. I was MOTM in November - the month in which Thanksgiving day falls - which required me to wear a turkey on my head for the entire month. (You were away during this period but you can view the demeaning exploits I was subjected to here ... forums.onlinebookclub.org/viewtopic.php ... mp;t=31179 ).

Subjects we might entertain for your reign may include among other things:

St. Patrick's Day - Thursday March 17 (Ireland)
Submarine Day - ??? - also Thursday March 17
Oil Exploration Day - Friday March 18 (Mexico)
Father's Day - Saturday March 19 (Italy)

Perhaps you could include them all by posing as an Italian leprechaun while singing 'O Sole Mio as you set off on an offshore oil exploration venture in a submarine.

CONGRATULATIONS ! [:- )

Wow, I really don't think I'm worthy of the Member of the Month, I have only just got back and have contributed nada yet. I am however deeply honoured. This is an amazing forum, full of amazing members, and there are no words to describe how happy I am to be back and a part of it. Thankyou everybody. I shall endeavour to live up to this prestigious award.

DATo, I am getting sick of your posts. Every time I read one, I laugh so hard that I cough up my coffee. Please try to tone down your jokes, or maybe I should just stop drinking coffee before reading them. :)

Fran, I do think that a toga party is a great idea, we may even dedicate it to Colleen. :)

Anyway I am off to finish reading Anna Karenina. Once again my heartfelt thanks. :)
