Member of the Month Nomination: PashaRu

Post by Bighuey »

I want to welcome PashaRu to the MOTM club. I knew him from the old days when he would haunt the nickelodeons and the Keith Vaudeville houses where he picked up all that information about the great old movies that nobody had ever heard of except us old fuddy-duddies. He came up with the great idea of playing the guitar instead of the piano for the background music for the old silents. Did you know he wrote the suite for ‘Head ‘Em Off at the Pass’ and the concerto for ‘Tying the Heroine to the Railroad Tracks’? He was in the process of composing ‘Sacrificing the Virgin to the Volcano God in C’, but sadly the Jazz Singer came along and put him out of business. Nowadays he just sits back and reminisces about the good old days, checking theater seats for loose change while sipping on his Geritol. He’s a popular reviewer, outrageous wit and all-round nice guy who never fails to make an impression in the several forums he nonchalantly populates, strumming his guitar and suavely drinking whiskey. Welcome to the club, PR. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving person.

@Pasharu Congrats! :tiphat: This award is certainly well deserved. You bring great insight, wit, and a unique style to every discussion, and I am in awe of your top-notch reviews. You also know every quirky movie known to man. OK, I will stop drooling before anyone thinks I am a crazy stalker. :) :)
