Member of the Month Nomination: Bighuey

Post by DATo »

===========================================

It is my distinct honor and pleasure to inform everyone that Bighuey has been selected as Member Of The Month for December. Bighuey is a grandfather who hails from Mexico and has been a member of the Book and Reading Discussion Forums since 2011. "Huey" is a prolific poster with currently over 20,000 posts to his credit.

Though Bighuey’s contributions to the website can be found liberally disbursed throughout the forums I think it would be appropriate to consider Bighuey the unofficial Poster Laureate of the Community & Off Topic Forum where over the years he has regaled us with stories ranging from his discovery of a scorpion in Idaho to pontifications on economics - "I’m working on my second million. I gave up on the first million." *L*

Bighuey’s gentle wit, philosophical insights, and informed contributions to the discussion of literature (and the arts in general) has, over the years, enlivened and enriched the collective dialogue of this website.

So with this in mind please join me in congratulating Bighuey on his well-deserved selection as Member Of The Month!

Hip - Hip - HUEYRAAAAAAAY !

Congratulations @Bighuey and a very well deserved winner.

In his excellent citation @DATo omitted to mention your many contributions on the weird and wonderful world of extinct video tapes and music from the Jurassic period not to mention your many entertaining exploits with housing projects, animal interactions and your eccentric but exotic neighbours South of the Border. Can't wait for t he PARTY!!!!

Well, sheeesh ... I didn't want to be a big blabber mouth *LOL* Also, YOU forgot to mention Bighuey's wonderful discussions regarding FOOD (one of my own personal favorite subjects). He has included many tidbits about his favorite foods and recipes. Also, I remember the time he told us that he read a book while leaning his back against a tombstone in a cemetery. Now THAT'S a dedicated reader !

I just sent Huey a PM to inform him of his new exalted status as MOTM.
When I was selected I didn't know for a week !!!! <--- TAKE THAT!

Thanks guys. This is a big surprise to me, I really feel honored. You guys must have really gone back to see my old posts. Ive gone back to look at them at times, but found some of them to be kind of silly. But its been great fun as silliness can be. Again thank you.

You deserve it Huey. Last month I had to wear a turkey on my head because it was November (Thanksgiving month), I propose that you be Santa Claus to commemorate your reign as December MOTM! [:- )

Thanks again, guys. Ive never worn a turkey on my head, but I have a hat that looks like a bear's head. Does that count for anything?
