Member of the Month Nomination: DATo

Post by bookowlie »

Please join us in applauding the November Member of the Month….DATo, a steady force on the forums since 2011. DATo consistently posts thoughtful commentary and has an intelligent, subtle wit. Always welcoming to newcomers, he is friendly and offers useful advice. DATo tends to hang out in the Writing discussions, but his unique style shines through in all of the forums. DATo’s Off-Topic thread “Why Did the Author Say the Chicken Crossed the Road?” is an absolute must read. As a stickler for forum rules, this charming and well-mannered member sets a good example for others. It is an understatement to say DATo is an all-around good egg. Let’s all tip our hats to DATo!

Please excuse my late reply. I saw my name nominated and had a stroke. I just got out of the hospital. I would have gotten out sooner but for the last week I have been in a demented state thinking that I was Lady Gaga.

I really don't know what to say. I am not worthy. I don't feel I deserve this award, but then, I had appendicitis when I was 6 and I didn't deserve that either.

Rah Rah Ahh Ahh Ahh Rah Ma RahMahMah GaGa Ooo LaLa .... sorry .... I had a Lady Gaga Flashback.

Well, THANK YOU Owlie, and all, and I will try to do my best to be a worthy Ambassador of Bookophilia for the rest of the month.

All hail the Ambassador of Bookophilia aka Lady Gaga!

Why did the author say the chicken crossed the road?

Many thanks Bookowlie.

I will never forget this day ... especially since it falls on Halloween. This is like ... like .... Trick Or Treat for a book addict.

*Checks his trick or treat bag* .... Yup, this is the best thing I got tonight. HOOOOORAY !!!!

*Puts his Member Of The Month nomination in the pile with all the chocolate.*

*Gives all his candy corn to Graverobber*

I just got it. I'm a bit slow tonight what with trick or treating fatigue and this WONDERMOUS nomination to scramble my brainz.

*Points finger at book and NOT Bookowlie.*

Here is my vote for the funniest remark you posted recently -
In a 20-something newbie's Intro topic, you replied, "I have shoes older than you." Hahaha
