I agree with the reviewer, I also thought it was romance novel or something before I read the review. But none the less, I hope I could read it as some of the books are not sold in our country

I read a sample of this book and enjoyed it. I like how Pelagatti told not too much about the characters, but not too little. It's a good balance of everything.

Sarah Clay, I agree. The author did a nice job of fleshing out the characters, but not overdoing it. Since there were many characters, it would have dragged the storyline if he told too much about each character.

I am very critical when it comes to true crime stories as very few authors get it right but based on the review and all the comments. I am going to put this on my "want to read" list.

Wonderful review. This book sounds really interesting. When I saw the title "The Wicked Wives", I immediately thought of conniving wives of a polygamist. I think I might have to read this one. I find crime books to be interesting reads, usually.

When I saw the title I thought exactly what the reviewer said people would think-- a chick flick book. But now that I'm finished with the review I'm excited to read it. I've never read a crime book, but this sounds interesting, and just the mention of how much depravity the characters depicted was enough to make me read it. I'm a sucker for dark and intriguing characters.

Great review, will be reading this soon!

bookowlie wrote:Ha ha, very clever! Seriously, I wish the book had a different title so that it would attract a wider group of readers. The existing title makes me think of all of those Real Housewives reality shows.....trash TV. The story is actually a riveting crime story based on a true murder conspiracy. I think men would love this book as much as women.
True! I was thinking exactly the same thing when I first saw the title of the book.

Even though I am not into crime stories you make this book sound so interesting. I'm on the fence though, not sure I will read it or not.
