Gas leaks in America
’The Brits become panic stricken at the mention of a gas leak and armies of gas inspectors and maintenance fitters instantly arrive on their doorstep.’
Do I take it there is a far more nonchalant approach to gas leaks in the US?
My own experience is that one man turns up with a gas sniffer and will switch off your gas if the leak is in the house. Only if it’s outside the house do van loads of engineers turn up in order to dig up the road.

Well that’s what I thought. Thank you. I was a bit put out at the assumption that Brits get all hysterical.
