I'm studying a degree in the construction field, as a young black female I worry about how my working environment will be like after I complete my degree. Will I be taken seriously? I definitely need to read this. Thank you for this review.

I was glad to read that in the end Garret was able to stand firm and defend herself. I wonder what exactly it is that she did. Must be an interesting read. Thank you for the review.

Gender discrimination at work places remains a problem in our society setup. Despite the fact that am not of a female gender but I feel hungry when I hear of such cases. I think this is a thing of the past and we should avert it completely. women have proved same efforts as a man could do. Reading this book will only make me furious. Otherwise this is a good review, thumbs up!

Good review. It's easy to relate to discrimination, but difficult to deliver your story without being "whiny". Seems like an interesting book.

Haven't read this book yet and I feel like I should read it, its really sad how women are looked down upon by the male just because we are female and they believe that there are certain positions we shouldn't have or achieve. This is a definite read for me.

Thank you for the review. It happens everywhere in this world. Discrimination in today's generation is rampant. Our mind wanted to help but we can't control our environment. The only thing we can do is to control ourselves by not doing it to someone else. That book is really helpful to each one.

I can't wait to read this. I started working as an IT Analyst in a man's world in 1968 and retired in 2000. I've seen overt discrimination go to covert discrimination, in and out of the workforce.
