Proofreading Software

Some grammar rules (and embarrassing mistakes!) transcend the uniqueness of different regions and style guides. This new International Grammar section by OnlineBookClub.org ultimately identifies those rules thus providing a simple, flexible rule-set, respecting the differences between regions and style guides. You can feel free to ask general questions about spelling and grammar. You can also provide example sentences for other members to proofread and inform you of any grammar mistakes.

Re: Proofreading Software

Personally I use Grammerly's keyboard, grammarcheck.net, followed by ProWritingAid. Then I reread everything. I like ProWritingaid summary page (all of them are free) because it tells me areas that I need to work on to improve clarity. I use it when I reread my rough draft and will correct some of my sentences, or reword them to make my review easier to understand.
I also study and am constantly crossreferencing sites that are instructional.
Www.thoughtco.com (you can get free grammar tips emailed daily- today it gave a list of the most common mispelled words in the English Language). I find it is always good to keep up to date with my knowledge because no proofreading software is perfect.

Www.languagetool.org helps make your google docs, word, text, and email spellcheck stronger. It also has a online picky editor option that you can use.
I believe, if you want to use the premium version it is a lot cheaper than Grammarly.

Just keep in mind that Grammarly is not always right. I've seen it mark many things as errors that aren't... and vice-versa. It is good with spelling and letting you know that a word is correct in British English when you have it set to check for American English.
Life without a good book is something MrsCatInTheHat cannot imagine.

For dyslexia you might try naturalreader.com- it reads what is written out loud.
