shape-shifter or shapeshifter

What's the best way to write the word "shape-shifter"? "Shape-shifter" or "shapeshifter"?

Hello Sunvixen,

Based on what I found, "shape-shifter" is found in the Merriam-Webster dictionary. This is an American English way to format the word. On the other hand, British English uses "shapeshifter." Either one is fine, but I would stay consistent on which English format you are using in your writing. :)
