Grammar checking

Some grammar rules (and embarrassing mistakes!) transcend the uniqueness of different regions and style guides. This new International Grammar section by OnlineBookClub.org ultimately identifies those rules thus providing a simple, flexible rule-set, respecting the differences between regions and style guides. You can feel free to ask general questions about spelling and grammar. You can also provide example sentences for other members to proofread and inform you of any grammar mistakes.

Can somebody please tell which of the following sentence is grammatically correct;
1. This book will appear interesting for those who are health-conscious.
2. This book will appear interesting for those who are health conscious.

Or both are grammatically correct.

Thanks for the reply. Can you please tell the reason (if your time allows)?

If you wanted to play it safe, rather than saying those who are health-conscious, you could just say those who are conscious of their healthy.

Option two, the hyphen links the words. And, yes, if uncertain definitely play it safe by altering the sentence

Option #2. You would only hyphenate the two words if they are used as an adjective before a noun. For example, "John and James are health-conscious people."

I think the second one is right, because it is just a combination of two nouns; not a noun with, preposition or adjective.
