Hello,
My question is: Is a comma necessary after "Solving" in the following sentence:
"I found the emphasis on problem identification and solving, and decision making to be most valuable."

Two grammar checkers did not detect this, and I feel "problem identification and solving" is one phrase, not a series.

There shouldn't be a comma after "solving." The comma would indicate that the two phrases can stand alone, without each other. That is not the case here, as neither phrase can stand alone without the other.
Life without a good book is something MrsCatInTheHat cannot imagine.
