This month’s book was very interesting! Being able to use natural remedies to cure not only cancer, but hundreds of more diseases is power through knowledge. I’m glad they made Winning the War on Cancer this month’s book, otherwise I would have never been able to read it.

I just got a free sample of the book from Amazon and I'm immediately in love with it. For one, I'm an advocate of natural/alternative medicine. In fact, I'm actually using some plants now as food supplements, like turmeric, snake plant, and moringa to name a few. Secondly, I'm interested in knowing more plants that offer health/medicinal benefits. I've just finished watching the documentary series, The Sacred Plant, which was about medical cannabis. And third, I'm curious about this contest. This is my first time to join it.

I too would like to say I am an advocate of natural remedies. I love turmeric, it has so many health benefits. That’s a big reason why I loved this book because it uses natural remedies and the author backed it up with scientific studies. I think she did an excellent job writing the book.

Winning an Amazon gift card would be nice but I think that talking about cancer and it's aftermath is an important topic. I have first hand experience with cancer, hubby had it and is a 6 year survivor. We had not thought about a holistic approach, I don't think hubby would do that even if we had thought about it. He is old-fashioned and does not believe in it. That said, the traditional route worked and for that we are grateful for all of the doctors and nurses.
