The Community That Never Sleeps!

Post by KlareAllison »

This community of book reviewers is active round the clock, it just dawned on me. At any given time, several people are typing away from different parts of the world and fresh postings are being churned out almost non-stop. You post a comment, click on New Posts to check the next interesting review/topic to work on, and you are happy because your comment is shown as the latest.

But as you check again, your last posting of less than two minutes before has been pushed by newer posts to the very bottom! This community that never sleeps has got me; spirit, soul and body. While I enjoy my time here, however, I find myself very absorbed and dwelling more on this space than any other. Did I say writing my thesis is now at risk?

Your thoughts, guys! What are your takes on this observation? I hope I am not alone in this reflection.

Indeed. I like the diversity of nationalities that we encounter here as well.

Yes, Kalin Adi. The diversity of nationalities in this community makes book-reviewing really interesting, a great fun! One gets to enjoy different perspectives on each book from various readers whose analyses are drawn from ideas/experiences from their different regions.

I was thinking about that the other day, the diversity of this community. Several members have posted about living in rural or isolated areas (we were talking about buying books, and access to book stores). So it makes sense that online access is what we all have in common. Pretty cool when you think about it!!

Yea, Angela Stripes, really pretty cool! I absolutely agree. The access to books one would otherwise not have been able to find in an average book stores is a key advantage here. I appreciate your contribution.

You're right! Thanks, Preciosonic, for commenting. It's really good to have you back in this community that neither sleeps nor slumbers. :)
