Can a male have a female best friend without intimate feelin

I think it's absolutely fine and normal for men and women to have platonic friends, even best friends, of the opposite sex. My only slight proviso would be that if either friend embarks on a new relationship perhaps a little sensitivity is needed at the beginning.

I think "NO". Even if they're acting like only a bestfriend but deep inside they have special feelings for each other. I had a bestfriend for a long years and he submitted that he has feelings on me and yet it's not allowed because we're just a friend.

Well, I think it can happen as adults but only after one or both of them have tried to be intimate at one point or the other. I doubt that they usually just set out to be besties from the onset, it most likely is a trial and error but-I-don't-want-you-outta-my-life kinda thingy.

I am a male and I have many many female friends that are detached from one another. I can say one thing about friendship between men and women from personal experience: you can be friends, but not always, it depends on the person and on the situation. I can also say that I have liked all of the girls that I've been good friends with, which doesn't mean I ever tried anything, unless they were ok with it. Men will always be attracted towards girls that stimulate their interests, but that doesn't mean that one has to ruin an awesome friendship over a selfish want to get something out of it. If it has to happen, it'll happen naturally.
