A nice end of year poem by one of my favorite authors. :D

May 2018 be a better year, with more love and peace for all.

What is grief, if not love persevering?

Grief is just love with no place to go.

Congratulations, Lincolnshirelass! Nice part of the country you live in :)

Today I am happy because I have booked 5 nights in New York for next year! I've always wanted to visit since I was very young and I can't believe I'm finally doing it. We'll also be doing an excursion to Washington, D.C. while we're there. Pity not to! :D

Hi, Ryan, thanks for the congrats, and hope you have a fantastic holiday. I was made very happy today by seeing a rainbow arching over a grey sky!

Many challenges on the outside are currently reminding me that happiness is an inside job. But then there was this Bruce Lee quote: "Don't fear failure. Not failure, but low aim, is the crime. In great attempts, it is glorious even to fail." Plus: "You never lose. You either win or you learn." (Anonymous).

And ... my son got a perfect school report card, so there's that.

Managed to resolve a situation with a nasty bill I received. I knew it was an error and I didn't have to pay that much, but it was still scary to see it and I'm relieved to have been able to sort it out with a quick phone call.

I was invited to my grandniece's wedding on the 15th. Its going to be quite a bash, something like 200 people will attend. Relatives coming from as far as Mexico City and Chihuahua. They are having live music and dancing and all kinds of good food, should be a lot of fun.
