Today, I was stressed from a traffic jam on the freeway, so when I arrived back home, I had to make a tall glass of iced lemonade; and found that it relaxed me before I attempted to get things done on the computer.

Music saves me not only on my stressful days but everyday. Besides my son and his big smile in the morning music is what makes me get up and go. I love music.

When I am stressed I go walking when it is nice outside. However our winters are long so I will ride the exercise bike inside the house. Then reading for the most part helps in just about any given situation.

Every time I am greatly stressed, without exception, I tell myself that a year from now I won't even remember the thing that at that particular moment has me stressed. Of course when dealing with stress resulting from the loss of, or severe injury to, a loved one or something of equal import this doesn't apply, but for most of the day-to-day things that rattle my brains it works magically to calm me and get me back on track, and it's true ... you don't remember those things a year later.

That is very, refreshingly true. I never thought about it that way :)

I walk and I speak. I do speak a lot when I am stressed and if I can not walk I move a lot. Then when I start calming down I am making lists with what I have to do or how can I solve the problems.
