GRAVY: Well, because I was negligent in reading/remembering all the clues, specifically "female author" and "not short"
*LOL* I was going to say Gollum from LOTR because of the duality of his nature as suggested by your last answer to me. When Helen mentioned Snape I immediately knew she was right. It was a perfect choice given ALL the clues/answers.
