Funny looking at my husband's photo books, there's a lot of " There is Frank, Antonee and Cahhmine...then you look at a different picture and "There's Frank, Antonee and Cahhmine, no these ahh the OTHER ones"...seems like the only three names for about twenty guys in the family...Ant wrote:Not really given much thought to "liking my name" or not, it's just a name, I've learnt to live with it!
I know exactly what you mean about being in the doo dah, if my mother shouted "Antony" I knew I was in trouble, otherwise everyone I've ever known calls me Tony.

Drives me crazy. It's laci. Like 'ooh pretty lacey thing' not 'here doggie.'
I begged my mom to let me change it and she got all teary eyed and pouty and I just can't handle that haha.
All of my friends call me something else. Husband calls me Ace. Family calls me maymay for my middle name.
Laci. Mae. Payne. I wasn't blessed when it came to names. I looked it up and my name literally means Boy Matthew (Matt's my husband's name so that makes it even more complicated) Payne.

I couldn't find it in any name books.
My name had no meaning because it hadn't been defined in a book.
At least that's how I felt. Stupid yes but it's how I felt.
Thankfully I grew out of that.
It's my name. I like my name.
I now (thanks to google) know what it's from.
It...fits. Somehow.
And at least I didn't have to share it with anyone.
What is grief, if not love persevering?
Grief is just love with no place to go.
